Full-Time School Receptionist

Awaken Christian Academy is seeking a full-time School Receptionist to join our team. We value individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment with creativity and attention to detail. Ideal candidates are passionate about Jesus and can represent Him with a warm smile, servant’s heart, integrity, dedication, and passion.

Awaken Christian Academy is committed to being a Christ-centered, biblically based community serving students and families. Staff are the primary caregivers during the day and model Christian beliefs, thoughts, and actions, both on and off the job, to foster students’ development as mature, responsible Christians.

Position Summary

This role is essential to the daily operations of the Admin Department and acts as the face and voice of the academy. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering inquiries via phone or in person, directing visitors, maintaining security, staying informed about school events, handling packages, managing ticket sales and cash, and sharing the Gospel as opportunities arise. The role also involves prayer and biblical support for staff and visitors, aligning with the mission of Awaken Las Vegas.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Greet guests professionally with a smile and excellent customer service attitude.
  • Maintain the front lobby area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and email when necessary.
  • Check-in visitors and provide directions.
  • Follow security procedures diligently.
  • Stay current on all school events and announcements to answer questions effectively.
  • Manage incoming packages and route them appropriately.
  • Handle ticket sales, cash, and credit card transactions.
  • Share the Gospel and lead prayer when appropriate.
  • Answer questions in alignment with biblical principles.
  • Support the mission and drive of Awaken Las Vegas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of customer service, receptionist, or related experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong personal relationship with Jesus and ability to pray with others.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to interact and listen effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs.
  • Willingness to work some holidays and evenings.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make rational decisions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, respond calmly, and stay confident.
