Job summary

Next Door Milwaukee is seeking a School Psychologist to support students, families, and educators through assessments and collaborative interventions in a school setting. The role reports to the Director of Student Support Services and centers on MTSS, IEP participation, and implementing recommendations to promote student success across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains.

The ideal candidate holds a valid state credential, a Master’s in School Psychology, and experience with MTSS

Qualifications

• Valid state credential and a Master’s degree in School Psychology.
• WI DPI State License required.
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential preferred.
• Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
• Experience with Charter School K4 students.
• Experience with students with disabilities (learning, emotional/behavioral, autism).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and closing the achievement gap.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment.
• Ability to maintain records and collaborate with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead psycho-educational and formal behavior assessments; write compliant reports.
• Attend IEP meetings; present assessment findings to the team.
• Assist in implementing assessment recommendations.
• Provide consultation on intervention supports for struggling students.
• Work with parents to build knowledge of disability and inclusive support.
• Coordinate with administrators, teachers, and parents regarding educational programs.
• Coordinate and seek consultation with community agencies as appropriate.
• Maintain a compliant practice.
• Assist in implementing 504 plans and related consultations.
• Support social-emotional and behavioral system initiatives.
