Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a School Psychologist to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The role involves counseling students and families, participating in MTSS and interdisciplinary meetings, and contributing to IEP development in collaboration with educators.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Psychology with School Psychologist endorsement, experience in pediatric mental health, and the ability to work independently while coordinating

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology.
• Endorsement as a School Psychologist as prescribed by the State DOE bylaws.
• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to coordinate activities with professional staff, parents, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Providing counseling services to students and their parents.
• Participate in multi-tiered support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings.
• Participate in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure meetings and services are compliant.
