Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking a School Psychologist to join our Student Support team in Washington, DC. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on evaluating cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to support student success and well-being.

The role involves determining DC eligibility criteria for special education, delivering evaluations, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and school leaders to implement evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology with 42 semester hours of graduate coursework and 500 clock hours of field experience in a PreK–12 setting under supervision.
• Certification as a School Psychologist by DC OSSE.
• Commitment to working with students with limited access to quality educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation delivery including prevention, consultation, intervention, and assessment.
• Routinely gathers evidence of positive outcomes from psychological services.
• Provides oversight to social workers and assists in behavioral assessments and interventions.
• Participates in IEP meetings and communication of assessment results to the team.
• Demonstrates strong pedagogical content knowledge and fosters a positive learning environment.
