Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) is seeking a School Psychologist to join the Student Support Team, delivering comprehensive psychological services across MTSS, evaluation, and crisis response.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and leaders to promote equity and excellence for all students, with duties spanning prevention, evaluation, behavior supports, and family consultation.

Qualifications

• Master's, Ed.S., or doctorate in School Psychology.
• Louisiana certification or eligibility as School Psychologist.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Louisiana Bulletin 1508, MTSS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to educational equity and serving historically underserved students.

Responsibilities

• Serve as active MTSS/RTI team member to support prevention and intervention.
• Coordinate psychological evaluations and ensure timelines.
• Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
• Prepare evaluation reports aligned with IDEA and Louisiana requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure appropriate educational programming.
• Develop and support Behavioral Intervention Plans and crisis plans.
• Provide family and staff consultation on mental health supports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings (IEP, MTSS, etc.).
