Job summary

Thrive Therapies is seeking a School Psychologist to conduct psychoeducational evaluations and support eligibility determinations within K–12 settings. You will lead re-evaluations, provide crisis intervention, and collaborate on RTI/MTSS frameworks.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, translating data into plans and communicating findings to families and staff. Experience with IEP processes and federal/state requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, psychoeducational evaluation methodology, and legal requirements for special education eligibility determination
• Ability to conduct psychoeducational evaluations and write legally defensible reports
• Experience serving as part of multidisciplinary IEP teams and providing crisis intervention

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations using standardized instruments (WISC, WJ-IV, KTEA, BASC, Vineland, etc.)
• Evaluate eligibility categories (SLD, ID, ASD, ED, OHI) and participate in eligibility meetings
• Prepare evaluation reports clearly for IEP teams and families
• Lead or participate in eligibility determinations and timely re-evaluations
• Provide crisis intervention and mental health consultation to staff and families
• Support RTI/MTSS with screening, progress monitoring, and tiered supports
• Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, BCBA, and other specialists; maintain accurate records

Education

Ed.S., Ph.D., or Psy.D. in School Psychology from NASP-approved or APA-accredited program

NCSP credential from NASP; or active state certification/license in good standing

Active state school psychologist certification or license in good standing, or documented initiation of transfer prior to start date
