Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Fresno, CA, seeks an experienced School Psychologist to join its leadership team. The role focuses on counseling students, parents, and staff, and on conducting psycho-educational evaluations to guide support plans.

You will collaborate with the Child Study Team and school leaders to develop IEP objectives, coordinate with teachers, and provide professional development. A valid School Psychologist credential and California driver's license are required; internship experience

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational or clinical psychology, with at least one year internship under supervision of a credentialed school psychologist.
• Valid School Psychologist Credential.
• Valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological counseling to students, parents, and staff.
• Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and develop reports on findings.
• Provide referrals to appropriate community resources as needed.
• Observe pupils in classrooms and other school settings.
• Serve on the IEP team for students with psychological concerns.
• Facilitate goals and objectives per individual child’s educational plan.
• Administer and evaluate standard psychological tests as needed.
• Maintain appropriate records.
• Coordinate with school personnel and parents to develop programs for eligible students.
• Ensure all services comply with state laws and regulations.
• Fulfill any other school psychologist needs that arise.
