Job summary

Lees Summit R-7 School District is seeking a School Psychologist Intern for the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include psych assessments, data analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to address special education needs.

Position reports to the Program Coordinator and the Executive Director of Special Services; 182 days/year, 7.5 hours/day, starting August 19, 2026. Requires Missouri temporary authorization and licensure as a school psychologist (DESE).

Qualifications

• Skills are required to perform multiple, highly complex technical tasks.
• Knowledge is required to perform basic math, read technical information, and compose documents.
• Ability to schedule activities, manage data, and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct standardized assessments and document initial and re-evaluations.
• Lead problem-solving meetings and provide consultation.
• Assist with data analysis at the student, class, and building levels.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and assist with Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Provide individual/group counseling and social skills instruction.
• Participate in Section 504 evaluations and student plan development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and district personnel on supports.
• Engage in professional growth and adhere to policies.
