Job summary

Soliant is seeking a certified school psychologist for a contract role near Norfolk, VA, for the 2026-2027 school year. The full-time position runs Aug 2026 through June 2027, with a 35-37.5 hour week and flexible caseload options.

The role involves conducting assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating with educators to support student wellbeing. VOCO experience is valued; strong teamwork and accurate documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Virginia certification or eligibility for school psychologist status
• Experience across elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Knowledge of assessment techniques and special education processes
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Comfortable participating in virtual/VOCO services; VOCO experience preferred
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to student success

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to support student learning and wellbeing
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
• Provide expertise in developing effective support strategies for students
• Engage in data-driven decision-making to promote positive school environments
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and serve as a resource on psychological practices
• Complete required documentation and reporting to maintain compliance and track student progress
