Job summary

Danbury Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students through evaluation, consultation, intervention, and collaboration with school staff and families.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, administering tools, preparing reports, and assisting in IEP development to promote student success and equity across district schools.

Qualifications

• Master's or Sixth Year degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Must hold or be eligible for Connecticut certification as School Psychologist (070)

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns.
• Administer and interpret appropriate assessment tools.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports and share results with families and school teams.
• Collaborate in development and implementation of IEPs.
• Provide counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis support.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Support development of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Participate in PPT meetings and other team-based supports
