Qualifications

  • Proficiency in psychological assessment methods and data interpretation.

  • Experience with counseling and behavior management.
  • Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Connecticut and federal special education regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns.
  • Administer and interpret appropriate assessment tools.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports and share results with families and school teams.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs.
  • Provide counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis support.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Support development of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Participate in PPT meetings and other team-based supports.
