Qualifications

  • Connecticut requirements for certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Continuing education requirements of a Certified School Psychologist.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with crisis management within the school to promote safety and mental health.
  • Effectively uses assessment techniques for students from birth through adulthood.
  • Utilizes technology resources to enhance services (Google Suite, PowerSchool).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of state and federal laws related to education and services.
  • Provides individual, group, classroom, and family counseling to support student outcomes.
  • Helps school personnel analyze and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Designs and participates in student support teams and health/climate initiatives.
  • Works with families and community partners to support students’ learning and well-being.
