Job summary

NSW Department of Education seeks a School Psychologist for Billabong High School. You will deliver counselling and psychological assessments, support student wellbeing, and work with teachers to strengthen learning outcomes.

The role is based at Billabong High School with opportunities across primary and high school ages. You will engage in supervision, collaborate with communities and agencies, and contribute to professional development.

Qualifications

• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid WWCC clearance — NSW.
• Valid and current driver’s licence with the ability to travel between sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal Education Policy and inclusion strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups.
• Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments.
• Collaborate with the principal, staff and external agencies to support learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute to social, emotional and academic development of students.
• Work with families and carers to develop school-based support for students.
• Participate in supervision and be part of the school counselling team.
