Job summary

ADAPT Community Network in Brooklyn is seeking a School Psychologist to join our School Age Program, supporting children with developmental disabilities. This is a full-time, 12-month position, Monday–Friday, 8am–3pm.

Under general supervision, you will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, provide counseling, and collaborate with families and staff. Requires NYSED School Psychologist Certification and a Master’s Degree in Psychology; prior experience with developmental disabilities is

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology required.
• NYSED School Psychologist Certification required.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide annual psychological assessments in intelligence and adaptive behavior.
• Develop treatment plans and goals based on assessments.
• Provide psychological services as guided by treatment plans (counseling, crisis intervention).
• Collaborate with families and staff to integrate interventions in daily routines.
• Document progress and make recommendations as cases evolve.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and annual reviews.
