Job summary

Cambridge Lakes Charter School is seeking a School Psychologist to conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results to inform IEPs and interventions. You will provide counseling, crisis services, and collaborate on behavior plans with teachers and parents.

You will participate in multidisciplinary teams, address classroom management, and deliver staff training on mental health and crisis prevention, while maintaining confidential records and adhering to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited program.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting data.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and IDEA.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, teachers, admins.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced school.
• Proficiency with assessment tools, data systems, and technology.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations of cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
• Interpret results to inform IEPs and intervention strategies.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to review progress and plan services.
• Consult with staff on classroom management and evidence-based interventions.
• Provide staff training on mental health, behavior management, and crisis prevention.
• Serve as a resource on child development and learning disabilities.
