Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited program.

Position Summary
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results to inform the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, discuss intervention strategies, and make recommendations for services.
  • Consult with teachers and staff to address classroom management issues, promote positive behavior supports, and implement evidence‑based interventions.
  • Provide staff training on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and crisis prevention.
  • Serve as a resource to school personnel and parents on topics related to child development, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, progress notes, and counseling sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborates and consults with educational professionals regarding the needs of students.
  • Provides consultation to classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, behavior modification plans, and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature apparent or as assigned.
Environmental Conditions
  • Classroom based with regular interaction throughout the school.
  • Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
