Job summary

The St. Mary’s County Public School System is seeking a School Psychologist to support students through educational assessment, psychological testing, direct consultation, and case management to promote progress and mental health in general and special education populations.

Starting immediately, this full-time ten-month role emphasizes confidentiality, efficient communication, and collaboration with staff, parents, and the community to interpret tests and implement educational interventions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Psychology completed via an MSDE‑approved pathway.
• Three (3) semester credit hours in Special Education.
• Licensed psychologist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supports the County IEP process and assists in program development and implementation.
• Completes psychological evaluations and interprets results for staff, parents, and students.
• Provides interventive, consultative, and follow-up services as needed.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, and staff to improve educational programming.
