Job summary

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in Prince Frederick, MD to hire a School Psychologist who will provide counseling services to students with IEPs and to the general population. The ideal candidate will conduct assessments, develop IEPs/504 Plans, and collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to foster positive learning environments.

The role involves crisis intervention, coordination with external agencies, and ongoing professional support.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
• State Certification and/or Licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working in a School Setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school settings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and strengths.
• Develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed.
• Coordinate outreach with pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and other agencies.
