Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Mechanicsville, MD is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services in a school setting. This in-person role involves assessments, counseling, collaboration with educators and families, and support for students' academic and emotional well-being.

You will conduct evaluations, help develop IEPs and BIPs, and participate in multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliant documentation and proactive mental health

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from NASP-approved program.
  • Valid MD state license or MSDE eligibility as School Psychologist.
  • Educator Certificate (if applicable).
  • Prefer experience as School Psychologist in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws.
  • Strong skills in psychological testing, counseling, and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Passion for working with children and adolescents in educational settings.

Additional Details: Provide support for students of varying ages and ability levels depending on district need.

Requirement: Current Maryland School Psychologist License or eligibility to obtain one through MSDE.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and experienced in-person School Psychologist to join our team on a contract basis. As a School Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, collaborate with educators and families, and contribute to fostering a healthy learning environment. You will work in a school setting, offering evaluation, consultation, intervention, and prevention services that support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
