Job summary

SPG Therapy & Education in Colorado is seeking School Psychologists for the 2026-2027 school year. You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, prepare legally defensible reports, and determine eligibility for special education services.

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive, legally defensible written reports with diagnoses and recommendations.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, adhering to timelines and processes.
  • Provide counseling services to students as needed.
  • Offer consultative support to administrators, parents, students and SPG staff on special education procedures and mental health issues.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Valid CO PreK-12 School Psychologist License
  • Ability to work in person
  • Proficiency in connecting with students and families, working alongside school teams
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously develop their professional expertise
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students in accordance with Colorado Department of Education and Federal guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive, legally defensible written reports of assessment findings with diagnoses and specific recommendations, in accordance with State and Federal guidelines.
  • Certify pupils’ eligibility for placement in special education services, programs or classes in accordance with their individual physical, mental and emotional needs.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, following due process timelines.
  • Provide counseling services to students, as needed.
  • Provide consultative support to administrators, parents, students, school-based personnel and SPG staff on matters pertaining to special education procedures and guidelines, mental health issues, child development, student behavior, learning problems and relevant intervention strategies and recommendations.
