Job summary

BrightBee is seeking a Before and After School Group Leader in California to support students in local elementary schools. You will lead activities, ensure safety, and foster a welcoming, organized environment for children after school hours.

Responsibilities include supervising daily curriculum activities, building relationships with students and staff, and maintaining a safe, clean space while guiding behavior and inclusivity. Training is provided, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Background check required prior to start.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting.

As a BrightBee Before and After School Group Leader, you’ll support students in local schools—helping them learn, grow, and succeed. We are currently partnered San Ramon Unified School District. During your interview we will go into detail about what assignments are available at these sites. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is.

  • Rancho Romero Elementary School
• Monday- Friday (noon-6:30pm)

Basic Requirements

Before You Start

To keep students safe, you’ll need to:

• Pass a background check
• Follow safety and reporting guidelines
• Complete required school clearances which you are responsible for paying.
  • Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in California for instructional roles is between $203-$218.
