Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract - full time role in Tavares, FL. The PTA will provide therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist, following the physician's plan of care.

Requirements include PTA licensure in the state, CPR if applicable, TB screening or chest x-ray, health certificate, and at least 18 years old. One year of PTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
• One year of PTA experience is preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR, if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
• Document treatment, implementation and progress as part of patient care.

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapyservices, including treatment, implementation, and documentation, under thedirection of the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s planof care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in thestate of practice

• One (1) year of prior professional Physical TherapyAssistant experience preferred.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
