Care Options for Kids is seeking a part-time School-Based Physical Therapist to provide coordinated therapy for school-aged children with complex needs. You will plan, implement, and evaluate PT services within a multidisciplinary educational setting, working closely with teachers, therapists, and families.

The role emphasizes individualized supports, independence, and collaboration with the education team to maximize student potential throughout the school year.

Position Summary: The position of School-Based Physical Therapist provides coordinated physical therapy to school-aged children. They plan, implement, and evaluate students to provide appropriate fine motor and/or sensory integration skills. They evaluate occupational roles and physical performance of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments. They provide interventions based on student deficits and they collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Education/License/Certification:

• Masters, or PhD in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution of higher education
• Current Active State License to practice Physical Therapy in Texas

Experience/Requirements:

• Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
• Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive to requests.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
