Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Possession of a Substitute Certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong communication, organization and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments and duties as directed by the building principal.
• Assist in supervising recess.
• Assist teachers with students as assigned by the principal.
• Handle basic clerical duties, answer phones, copy forms and maintain records.
• Maintain student behavior using school protocols and guidelines.
• Enforce school policies with students.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Assist in supervision duties as assigned by the principal.
• Assist the library staff as needed by the principal.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and the school community.
• Produce accurate work despite interruptions and multitask effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all duties.
