Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking Paraprofessionals in the Plymouth-Canton area starting at $17-19/hr, contingent on qualifications, availability, and skill. Position involves assisting students with bus routines, behavioral support, and instructional aid under teacher direction.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to pass state and national background checks, and at least 1 year of experience with working children. Contract role in the Plymouth-Canton school district area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be able to pass State and national background checks.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience with working children.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as they board and exit school bus.
• Support students with behavioral issues and assist highly disabled students as needed.
• Help prepare, collect and set up materials for student participation following teacher direction.
• Provide instructional, behavioral, or physical assistance to students individually or in small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with large group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling.
• Maintain daily activity logs for assigned students.
• Inform regular teacher of any problems or special information about the students.
• Serve as a primary source of information for substitutes in the absence of the regular teacher.
