Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional to support campus operations by assisting in the office and classrooms, as directed by the principal. This grant-funded position is tied to an 187-day work year and the paraprofessional pay scale.

The role focuses on frontline reception, student support, and instructional assistance while maintaining confidentiality and a safe learning environment. Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and a High School Diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children
• Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
• Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
• Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
• Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required
