Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a General Aide to join the Assigned Campus team. This nonexempt paraprofessional position supports front office routines, maintains records, prepares materials, and assists staff with library and classroom operations. Candidates should demonstrate good written and verbal communication, basic math, and the ability to work well with children.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 60 college hours preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office or designated location as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of records, materials, and equipment as assigned.
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instructional or campus operations.
• Answers incoming calls politely, takes reliable messages, and routes to appropriate staff.
• Prepare bibliographies, forms, purchase orders, requisitions, and routine correspondence.
• Receive and process books, materials, and equipment and reconcile with packing slips and invoices.
• Shelve books, materials, and equipment, inventory resources, and distribute materials from/to the library and other sources.
