Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a Title I/SCE General Aide to support campus needs by assisting in the office and classrooms as directed by the principal. This grant-funded 187-day paraprofessional position expects a Letter of Assurance and allows flexible support across office and instructional tasks.

The role requires an Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalent and a high school diploma or GED, along with the ability to work well with children and use basic computer applications.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and high school diploma required.
• Ability to work well with children and communicate effectively.
• Experience with basic computer applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned
• Work with individual students or small groups on instructional exercises as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed
• Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations
• Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required
