Job summary

Bristol Public Schools is seeking a CITY-WIDE Paraeducator located at STAFFORD to support a special education classroom under the teacher's direction. You will assist instruction, supervise students, and help implement IEPs in small groups and during recess and lunch.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, or two years of college credits/associate degree, or completion of the paraprofessional assessment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, with two years of college or an associate degree.
• Parapro Assessment may substitute for education.
• Ability to assist in instruction and follow IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in small group and individual instruction under the supervision of the special education teacher.
• Maintain classroom discipline and assist with instructional activities.
• Escort students between rooms and support toileting as needed.
