Job summary

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead the district's OT program for students with disabilities. The role focuses on developing individualized programming, integrating activities of daily living, personal care, and community participation within the school environment.

You will screen and monitor students, collaborate with staff, participate in IEP development, and provide targeted interventions while coordinating assistive technology needs

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• NBCOT certification is required for practice in schools.
• Strong understanding of FERPA/504 laws and educational privacy is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate and monitor students to inform educational programming.
• Collaborate with staff to interpret student occupational performance.
• Develop IEPs and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Assess need for assistive technology and equipment in school settings.
• Document services and maintain records per policies and laws.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
• Coordinate continuing education for staff, parents, and students.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research.
