Job summary

Oswego Community Unit School District 308 is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead the development, implementation, and coordination of the district's school-based OT program for students with disabilities.

You will supervise OT Assistants, plan individualized education programs, conduct evaluations, collaborate with school staff to support student participation in daily living activities and educational occupations, and document progress in accordance with district policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy theories and models used to guide intervention decisions.
• Experience applying evidence-based practice in school settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and coordinates the school district's occupational therapy program within the school district, including philosophy, vision, procedures and goals.
• Screens, evaluates and monitors students to provide educational programs and therapeutic intervention.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure understanding of student occupational performance and outcomes.
• Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
• Plans and conducts continuing education for school staff, parents, and students.
