Job summary

Soliant is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy in two school communities in Illinois. The role involves one day per week in Peoria with ED students and three or more days in Bloomington serving ED, Aut, Life Skills, and other needs.

The contract position offers a flexible, part-time schedule and collaboration with educators and families to support students’ educational goals. Illinois licensure is required, with experience in IEP-driven settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois.
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Ability to adapt approach for ED and mixed-exceptionality classrooms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff.
• Efficient organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling across locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs.
• Develop and implement targeted treatment plans to support educational goals.
• Deliver direct therapy to students individually and in group settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEP meetings and progress reviews.
• Communicate skill development strategies to teachers and caregivers.
• Maintain all required student records and documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
• Provide consultative support and professional recommendations to school teams.
