Middlebury College invites applications for a part-time Teacher Assistant in the School of Hebrew for the summer session. The role, located on the Middlebury campus in Vermont, offers an immersive language environment, where you will read, write, and speak Hebrew exclusively as part of daily activities.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellence in Hebrew as a foreign language, is native or near-native, and can lead cocurricular activities integrated into the language curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience orability to work as part of an instructional team.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructor with daily office hours for consulting, course content, papers, and portfolios.
• Assist instructor with additional discussion outside class on course content.
• Assist students with library resources.
• Assist instructor with homework sessions once a week.
• Attend school events, meals, and other specified activities.
• Work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Middlebury College Summer Hebrew School is pleased to announcea vacancy for a temporary Teacher Assistant of the School ofHebrew. The position is available during the summer 2018 session,located on Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our uniqueprograms combine a cultural immersion environment with rigorousdaily classroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join acommunity of learners, by actively engaging in teaching, dining,residing, and recreating with students while reading, writing, andspeaking exclusively in Hebrew.

We are looking for a Teacher's Assistant with the followingcharacteristics: demonstrated excellence in Hebrew as a foreignlanguage, being native or near native in Hebrew and ability to lead co-curricular activitiesthat are integral part of the language curriculum.

• Anticipated 20 hours per week.
• Assist instructor with daily office hours for; consulting,course content, papers, and portfolio.
• Assist instructor with additional discussion out of class oncourse content.
• Assist students with library resources.
• Assist instructor with homework session once a week.
• Attend school specific, all school events, meals, and otherspecified activities.
• Work cooperatively with others and accept direction fromsupervisor.
• Other duties are performed as assigned.

• In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a Master degree candidacyor higher, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated successworking as a member of an instructional team. A candidate with acreative, dynamic, and easy-going approach will be an excellent fitwith the Hebrew school.
