The Middlebury Hebrew School is pleased to announce a vacancy for atemporary Instructor of Hebrew. The position is available duringthe summer 2021 session (partial or full summer), located on thecampus of Middlebury College in Vermont. Our unique 7-week programcombines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous dailyclassroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join a communityof learners by actively engaging in teaching, dining, residing, andrecreating with students while reading, writing, and speakingexclusively in Hebrew.

We are looking for a faculty member who has experience teachingHebrew as a second or foreign language, and experience in teachingaspects of Israeli culture and society. This may include poetry,literature, art, music, etc.

In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a minimum of a MA, or astrong advanced degree in second language acquisition, culture, orliterature (credentials may also be considered), stronginterpersonal skills, and demonstrated success working as a memberof an instructional team.
