Job summary

Middlebury College invites applications for a temporary Teacher Assistant in the School of Hebrew for the 2020 summer session on the Middlebury College campus in Middlebury, Vermont.

The TA will assist instructors, support students, and participate in co-curricular activities as part of the language curriculum, with lodging and a meal plan provided in addition to salary.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of an instructional team.
• Demonstrated excellence in Modern Hebrew.
• Creative, dynamic, and easy-going approach.

Responsibilities

• 20 hours of work per week
• Assisting instructors with homework sessions and tutoring students 1-on-1 or in small groups
• Assisting instructors with daily office hours (consulting with students and faculty about course content, homework, etc.)
• Assisting students with library and/or technological resources
• Attending school-specific events, meals, and other specified activities
• Working cooperatively with others and accepting direction from supervisors
• Other duties as assigned

The Middlebury College School of Hebrew is pleased to announce avacancy for a temporary Teacher Assistant. The position isavailable for the summer 2020 session, located on the MiddleburyCollege campus in Middlebury, Vermont. Our programs combine acultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroominstruction. This is a unique opportunity to join and work with acommunity of Hebrew learners and instructors both inside andoutside the classroom. We are looking for a Teacher's Assistant with demonstratedexcellence in Modern Hebrew with the ability to lead co-curricularactivities that are an integral part of the languagecurriculum.
