Description

The Middlebury College School of Hebrew is pleased to announce avacancy for a temporary Teacher Assistant. The position isavailable for the summer 2021 session, located on the MiddleburyCollege campus in Middlebury, Vermont. Our programs combine acultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroominstruction. This is a unique opportunity to join and work with acommunity of Hebrew learners and instructors both inside andoutside the classroom.

We are looking for a Teacher's Assistant with demonstratedexcellence in Modern Hebrew with the ability to lead co-curricularactivities that are an integral part of the languagecurriculum.

General responsibilities include but are not limitedto

• 20 hours of work per week
• Assisting instructors with homework sessions and tutoringstudents 1-on-1 or in small groups
• Assisting instructors with daily office hours (consulting withstudents and faculty about course content, homework, etc.)
• Assisting students with library and/or technologicalresources
• Attending school-specific events, meals, and other specifiedactivities
• Working cooperatively with others and accepting direction fromsupervisors
• Other duties as assigned

* In addition to salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided.
