Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for part-time contract work in Woodbury, CT. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to students within a school setting, including treatment, data collection, and documentation.

Minimum qualifications include OTA licensure, graduation from an accredited OTA program, and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• One year of experience as an OTA preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, theCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy servicesincluding treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, anddocumentation to students in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements

• Current certification or licensure as an OccupationalTherapy Assistant in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational TherapyAssistant required
• One (1) year of experience as an Occupational TherapyAssistant preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
