Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a School Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Crestwood, IL, for a part-time contract role. You will work 30 hours per week in a school setting under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, providing therapy services and documentation to students.

Pay is $50 per hour with benefits; eligible candidates have OTA licensure in the state and a degree from an accredited OTA program.

Qualifications

• Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program required.
• One year of experience as an OTA preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist in a school setting.
• Deliver treatment, implement standardized assessment data and documentation for students.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and state/federal requirements.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, theCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy servicesincluding treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, anddocumentation to students in the school setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification or licensure as an OccupationalTherapy Assistant in the state of practice

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational TherapyAssistant required

• One (1) year of experience as an Occupational TherapyAssistant preferred

• Pediatric experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
