Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates the cafeteria register and receives money to put on students' accounts.
• Sets up the display of extra items for sale each morning.
• Assists in cooking, setting up and serving food items to students and staff.
• Follows all established state and federal regulations and complies with school nutrition and school board policies.
• Operates a variety of kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, steamers, dishwashers.
• Follows HACCP guidelines and procedures.
• Maintains the food service facility and equipment in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Assists in inventory control of food items and supplies.
• Communicates positively with school nutrition employees, staff, students, parents and visitors.
• Assists manager in recordkeeping including inventory, production sheets, and scheduling of daily tasks.
• Trains and assists new employees.
• Assists in washing dishes, cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping of kitchen.
• Performs related work as required.
