Job summary

Orting School District is seeking a Substitute Nutrition Services Assistant for the 2026-27 school year. The role supports meal preparation, serving, transportation, and cleanup in a school district setting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Preference for prior school-based quantity cooking experience.
• Must lift up to 50 lb and be able to stoop and climb as needed.
• Experience handling money and operating a cash register.
• Able to relate to students, staff and parents.
• Capable of operating computers and copiers.
• Must possess a current food handler's card.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in the preparation of, serving, transporting, and cleaning up after meals.
• May be required to prepare food service receipts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
