Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a Director of Nutrition Services to oversee the district’s child nutrition program. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and focus on compliance, quality, and customer service within Opaa!'s framework.

The Director will manage kitchen teams, ensure meal quality and safety, coordinate menus and transportation of meals, and maintain relationships with district leaders. A deep understanding of state/federal nutrition standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant food service leadership.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations and school nutrition guidelines.
• Experience managing kitchen operations and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production and meal service ensuring quality and safety.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with HACCP, HR policies, and state/federal requirements.
• Direct supervision of Kitchen Managers and staff, including hiring and training.
• Manage budgets, food costs, labor, and operational metrics.
• Foster strong client relationships with school districts and stakeholders.
• Coordinate menu planning, inventory, and reporting to district leadership.
