Job summary

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a Director of Nutrition Services to lead the district's child nutrition program, ensure compliance with Opaa! policies, and drive cost-efficient meal production.

The director will manage kitchen staff, foster strong district relationships, and serve as the primary liaison between Opaa! and the school district. This role emphasizes supervision, HACCP compliance, menu oversight, staff training, and reporting to the Superintendent and Board.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; transcript upon hire.
• Minimum 3 years food service experience; or 1 year with an associate degree.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Must read and comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production across kitchens, ensuring quality and safety per HACCP.
• Manage staff performance, hire, onboard, train direct reports.
• Maintain budgets for food, labor, and supplies.
• Coordinate meal transport to satellite buildings as needed.
• Ensure menu and recipes follow Opaa! guidelines.
