Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools seeks a Child Nutrition Program Worker to support daily food service operations in Jefferson County Schools. The role involves food preparation, following menus, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

You will rotate tasks across the CNP team, assist with inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. A high school diploma and ability to obtain health certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under state laws.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Carry out verbal and written instructions with good interpersonal skills.
• Follow Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations.
• Use technology as required for job responsibilities.
• Possess health certifications including tuberculin skin test results.
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Be punctual and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and service of food according to the daily menu and supervisor instructions.
• Perform food storage, inventory control, equipment cleaning, and related sanitation tasks.
• Work courteously and professionally with staff, vendors, students, and parents.
• Operate food service equipment per procedures.
• Participate in job rotation within CNP activities as assigned.
• Maintain professional dress and hygiene suitable for food service.
