Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools seeks a Child Nutrition Program (CNP) Assistant Manager at Martha Gaskins Elementary to assist in managing the school food service program in line with federal, state, and district policies.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate or bachelor’s degree and one year of supervisory experience in institutional food preparation. Serv-Safe certification is desired or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year supervisory experience in institutional food preparation or equivalent.
• Serv-Safe Certification or ability to obtain per health department requirements.
• Ability to comply with health and safety regulations and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food during meal periods.
• Assume responsibility for replenishing the supply of foods during service.
• Assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas.
• Perform major cleaning of equipment and storerooms on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain records for accountability and confidentiality; follow Board policies.
• Perform managerial duties in the absence of the CNP Manager.
