Job summary

Richmond County Schools Food Service Department in Hamlet, NC seeks a Child Nutrition Supervisor to lead school nutrition programs, supervise managers, ensure compliance, and support the Director of School Nutrition.

You will oversee meal service, procurement, inventory, and staff development, while maintaining fiscal accountability, safety, and equitable access to nutritious meals for students across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in school nutrition or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of USDA meal patterns, sanitation, and fiscal accountability.
• Certified Food Protection Manager certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid NC driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school nutrition operations at assigned schools, including meal service and inventory.
• Provide leadership and training to managers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, state, and district requirements.
• Monitor financial and operational data to improve program performance.
• Coordinate with Director and site visits, audits, and reviews.
