Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a Field Supervisor to guide site managers and staff in the Child Nutrition Programs, ensuring program compliance and food safety across multiple sites.

You will supervise personnel, manage budgets and reporting, and support nutrition education and program growth in collaboration with district leadership and food service partners. A strong emphasis on data-driven planning and effective stakeholder communication is required.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of institutional menu planning, USDA nutritional requirements, and food preparation procedures.
• Working knowledge of recordkeeping, data collection and analysis and reporting.
• Working skill in the use of personal computers.
• Demonstrated ability to act on operational decisions and to communicate effectively with staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Ensures district compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines by applying comprehensive knowledge of USDA Child Nutrition Program operations.
• Advises managers on effective problem-solving techniques for daily processes and procedures.
• Conducts on-site visits to multiple schools and programs, observing operations and providing on-site training as needed.
• Supervises and monitors expenditures, inventories, and related financial activities to ensure proper revenue recording and budget compliance.
• Leads and develops high-morale teams at assigned locations and partners with Marketing for school meal participation strategies.
