Job summary

Waller Middle School in Enid, Oklahoma, is seeking a Food Tech/Secondary worker to ensure students are served nutritious, hot meals under supervision.

Responsibilities include following recipes, preparing items like meats, vegetables, breads, salads, and pastries, and maintaining a clean, safe food-service environment in a busy school kitchen. Position requires active, physical work 170 days per year.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and pull up to 40 pounds of packaged frozen food and prepared food daily.
• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Learn and successfully manage the duties for reports for the Child Nutrition Department.
• Assists in serving meals where assigned.
• Performs cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and using dishwasher; read recipes and follow cooking instructions.

• Prepare all food items on menu following recipes.
• Schedule preparation so meals are ready to serve on time.

• Perform other duties as requested.
