Job summary

Enid Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Child Nutrition II worker for the district's cafeteria program. You will assist in serving meals, prepare menu items, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment for students.

Responsibilities include preparing foods per recipes, setting up serving lines, and ensuring foods are served at proper temperatures while upholding sanitary practices. This role operates within a 170-day school-year calendar.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 40 pounds for daily food handling.
• Must stand for long periods during shifts.
• Assist in managing daily deposits and reports for the Child Nutrition Department.
• Assist in serving meals as assigned.
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and washing utensils.
• Other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager and support all areas of work.
• Set up the serving counter to enable quick and proper service.
• Ensure hot foods are served hot and cold foods cold.
• Prepare menu items by following recipes (meats, vegetables, breads, salads, pastries).
• Schedule food preparation to ensure timely serving for students and plan next-day meals.
• Follow sanitary methods of handling food and maintain personal hygiene.
• May assist in ordering food and supplies.
• Attend in-service training as directed by the Child Nutrition Department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
