Job summary

Paducah Public Schools is seeking a Lead School Nutrition Assistant I at Paducah Middle School to plan, organize and lead food service operations, training and supervising assigned staff. You will ensure proper serving, storage, and compliance with safety standards while maintaining accurate reports and inventories.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and overseeing meal service for students and staff; ensuring cleanliness of equipment and adherence to sanitation rules; and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years food service experience.
• Ability to train and direct staff in a cafeteria setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in food service.
• Ability to estimate food quantities and maintain records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead food service operations at an assigned school site.
• Oversee serving of meals and ensure compliance with serving size requirements.
• Prepare work schedules and train assigned personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of cafeteria equipment and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain inventory, requisitions, daily reports and production sheets.
• Coordinate with supervisor on cafeteria needs and menu changes.
• Operate cafeteria equipment including cash register and ovens as required.
