Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Manager Assistant: School Nutrition to support the School Nutrition Manager in daily operations at assigned locations. The role assists in preparing, cooking and serving meals, and helps manage inventories and safety standards.

You will ensure food quality, monitor temperatures, inspect deliveries, train staff and maintain records. The position requires flexibility for variable hours and the ability to work with diverse staff and students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• Two years food services experience required.
• Ability to adhere to USDA guidelines and AACPS policies.
• Ability to maintain sanitary and safe conditions.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality using standardized recipes and portions.
• Assist in planning food preparation schedules.
• Prepare, cook and serve food.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and quality.
• Inspect deliveries for quantity and specs.
• Assist with inventories of food, supplies and equipment.
• Lead and train 1–5 staff; supervise as needed.
